Ministry of Infrastructure & Transport (MoIT) is officially established today by unvieling of the plaque by Hon’ble Secretary Dasho Phuntsho Tobgay, and Head of the Departments. The new Ministry is a merger of the erstwhile Ministry of Works & Human Settlement (MoWHS) and the Ministry of Information & Communications.
MoIT has four departments, viz. i) Department of Air Transport, ii) Department of Human Settlement, iii) Department of Infrastructure Development, and iv) Department of Surface Transport. The ministry also has two affiliated Authorities viz. Bhutan Construction & Transport Authority (BCTA), and Bhutan Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA).
