Chandra Bdr. Gurung
Chandra Bahadur Gurung is the Hon’ble Minister of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT), Royal Government of Bhutan. He assumed office on 28 January 2024, following the conferment of Dakyen by His Majesty The King.
Professional Background
Lyonpo Chandra Bahadur Gurung brings over 18 years of public service experience, primarily from the Royal Audit Authority (RAA). Prior to his ministerial appointment, he served as Assistant Auditor General, overseeing the Performance Audit Division and Policy Planning and the Annual Audit Report Division. His career in public finance, accountability, and governance has provided him with strong institutional knowledge and leadership experience. He also served as an Executive Director in a Premier Private Company for about four years prior to joining the Ministry.

Master’s Degree in Environmental Management and Development, Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, Australia.
Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA & AS), National Academy for Audit and Accounts, Shimla, India, 2005 Batch.
Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Accounts, Sherubtse College, Royal University of Bhutan.
