The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport extends a warm welcome to His Excellency, Chandra Bahadur Gurung who assumed the role of new Minister on January 28, 2024 following the Dakyen conferment by His Majesty The King.
Before assuming the role as the Minister, Lyonpo held the position of Assistant Auditor General for Policy Planning and Annual Audit Report Division under Royal Audit Authority. As a civil servant, Lyonpo has served for more than 18 years ever since his appointment as Sr. Auditor under Royal Audit Authority.
Hailing from Lhamoi Dzingkha-Tashiding constituency under Dagana Dzongkhag, Lyonpo holds a Masters in Environmental Management and Development from Australian National University, Canberra, Australia and Bachelors in Management and Accounts from Sherubtse College, Bhutan.
